Hi, my name is Cody Ringo and I run a private dining and curated picnic catering company located in Salt Lake City, Utah.

I cook clean thoughtfully prepared food.

My approach is simple: I focus on vibrancy at the market, plants grown in good dirt, and I believe that fair animal husbandry ultimately builds better flavor.

Once sourced, I choose the most effectual cooking method to preserve its essence without waste or fuss, put it on a beautiful plate, and serve it with grace.

I offer three dining styles: Plated, Family, or Passed.

Plated
is a seated formal dinner with multiple courses, meant for small to medium sized parties.

Family Style
is less formal, with multiple large courses that are plated at once in a central location. Small appetizers being enjoyed in the beginning, and the dessert being plated and hand delivered at the end.

Passed
is perfect for standing receptions, and cocktail parties where your guest are meant to mingle.

Over the years I have built what I believe is the premier private dining experience. My menus are built on three principles: Quality, Comfort, and Consistency. Consistency comes with experience, which has taught me that not every kitchen or event is the same. With this knowledge, I have created menus that are deliverable every time, regardless of the kitchen or setting.

WHAT ARE YOUR PRICES?

Plated, Family and Passed packages all start at $150.00 a head. This includes menu design, ingredient sourcing, prep, service, and spotless clean up. I strive to leave your kitchen cleaner than it was found.

HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN YOU COOK FOR?

No less than 2 and no more than 30.

CAN WE HIRE YOU FOR A WHOLE DAY OR A WEEK?

Yes! I can be retained based on a day rate that is calculated by the number of guests served. Please inquire for pricing.

CAN WE HIRE BARTENDERS AND EXTRA SERVERS?
Yes! I can provide bartenders and extra servers for $300 per extra helper.

CHEF RINGO'S PICNICS ARE YOUR ANSWER FOR HEARTY MEALS ON THE GO!

My curated picnics are perfect for your day in the Wasatch Mountain Range. Maybe you're here in town for a short stay and don’t have time to shop or your vacation rental has no kitchen? Perhaps you are hosting friends from out of town and want a special meal to take on the river or to the mountains?

I’ve got you covered, and although they are great for dining al fresco, my curated picnics are certainly not limited to the outdoors. In fact, they are meant to be eaten anywhere your feet will take you!

My picnics are crafted with quality and are focused on healthy convenience and durability. Delivery food often falls short of expectations largely because of the design of the menu and it’s inability to cheat time and travel well. I think I have solved this problem by creating offerings that not only stand up to time and travel, but will nourish and keep you light on your feet while still being substantial.

Here’s how it works:

1. Choose 1 side, 1 main, and 1 dessert as a party (beverage and herbivore orders can be made separately). Check out our menu here.
2. Place your order at or call (406) 897-4017 for delivery to your location.
3. Each picnic will be delivered in a compostable cooler with compostable dinnerware and flatware.

Picnics are available pre-booked weeks and months in advance, or every Friday, Saturday and Sunday if you live locally. Please allow 48hrs for processing. Example: if you want a picnic delivered Friday, you would place your order Tuesday by midnight and so on...

What services do you offer?

Chef cody ringo

Chef Ringo is a Montana native born in Red Lodge under the shadow of the Beartooth Mountains. Most of his youth was spent along the banks of the Clarks Fork of the Yellowstone River and in the high desert plateau that is South Central Montana.  It was not until Cody was in his early 20’s at the French Culinary Institute in Manhattan, that he realized that the traditions of Growing, Gathering, Hunting and Angling of his youth were the genesis of his desire to cook.  

During his time in New York while learning from the best in the industry, Chef Ringo was part of a great change in the landscape of fine dining. He had a front row seat as he witnessed the disappearance of the exclusive opulence of the old guard in exchange for a no reservations, bare bones style of soul enriching dining.

Suddenly everyone was invited to the table, where young and affordable wines were being enjoyed with cuisine that was simmered down to its essentials: : beautiful and thoughtfully sourced product, clean technique, and quiet execution.

The natural magnetism that Montana had for Cody eventually drew him back home, where he has continued to work on his craft while cooking his version of natural, handmade American food for his neighbors here in the Big Sky.

Cody has recently relocated to the Salt Lake City area and is excited to explore the region and connect with the community.
